ISRAEL
Acrylic on wood 8 ft. by 4 ft.
This was not only a huge painting, but a huge challenge!
During my two months in Lima, Peru, the pastor/director
of the Bible College where I lived, asked me to paint
a wall-size 8'x 4' map of Israel. We both have a love for
God's Land, so it became a labor of love. It took two weeks
to paint in Peru's cold, damp weather, but worth every minute!
The students and staff were so encouraging and excited to
have a large map of Israel to refer to as they study the
Bible.

Small Study 3
"THE WALK BRIDGE"
Plein Air palette knife study
Oil on 6"x 8" toned canvas panel
I learned new things this week,
using a painting knife to quickly lay the oil paint
down. It was fun to see old friends, paint en plein air
and enjoy the beautiful scenes in the warm California
sun.
